Channeling the U.S.

Been missing home a lot so had some good ole fried pork cutlets (schnitzel to Aussies) and sweet corn to ease the heartache. Oh and some delicious whole milk.

One of our most recent purchases was a popcorn machine. Microwave popcorn is extraordinarily expensive here ($4.00 for two packets) so we bought some seeds and this lovely machine.

Please take note to the brand/style of our popcorn machine:

Yep - Spongebob Squarepants has taken up residence in the ML

Update coming on our trip to the farm this weekend.

Cheers,

  1. Have you gone to a restaurant for a schnitzel yet? The have a million different toppings for them.

When I was a little girl we had a popper like this, but not sponge bob. My mom and dad said that they were the wedding present of choice when they got married. They were given eight of them!

  2. Hey Brandi! I really enjoy reading your blog. How exciting for you to be able to live in Australia for 10 months! I went for 3 weeks and LOVED it. I was in Newcastle, New South Wales- 2 hours North of Sydney. Well good luck and I'll be keeping up with you. If you want me to send you some ranch dressing seasoning packets, let me know! I have friends from Aus that have been to the States that Loooovvve ranch dressing! Lol. Talk to you soon.
